How often do you see something in an ad that looks great but after you buy it, feel like you wasted your time and money because the quality wasn’t what you thought it would be?  This has happened to us so many times that we stopped buying things for our van sight unseen. 

In September 2023, we quit our jobs and left on a 2-week road trip to Alberta, Canada. We had seen an ad for Backland Expedition Gear side and rear steps, and they looked great, so we decided to make a detour on our road trip to Banff National Park to check them out in person. We fell in love with their products, quality of work and Canadian kindness. On that trip we talked about how there must be a better way to vet van products. A lightbulb went off and Calico Van was born.

We are Amy & Mike, Sprinter van owners who use our van in all 4 seasons. We are on a mission to find the highest quality van products and bring them to consumers to help them make informed decisions, save time and money. And like everything we do, we will have fun along the way.
